Summer Reading Tips
Summer Reading
Reading is a skill that gets better with practice. Please encourage your child to spend some time reading each day. The following is reading advice…
*Help your child get into the library habit. Visit your local public library. Most libraries have reading programs and story times.
*Make reading easy. Keep books within easy reach.
*Look for unusual places for daily reading with your child.
*Don’t compete with the computer/t.v. Limit the amount of computer/television time your child has.
*Try to set aside time everyday for reading aloud to your child.
*Discuss with your child different reading strategies.
