First Grade News – October 19, 2012

What a busy and wonderful week of learning! Be sure to ask your child what they know about fire safety!  

October’s Extra Challenges are awesome! Thank you so much for taking time with your child to do the activities.  

Please check your child’s Friday Folder for their AR contract. If you have questions please feel free to contact us.

*Red ribbon week: Please see back of newsletter to see what activities are happening.

*Thursday, October 25^th fire squad/smoke house

*Fall Festival:  Thursday, October 25 at 5:00-7:00: We are in need of workers for our first grade booths. Please see attached form for information. Also, k-2 needs cakes for the cake walk, 3-5 bringing $3-$10 prizes for Bingo, and 6th chips for the BBQ supper.

*Fall Party: Our party will be on Friday, October 26^th beginning at 1:45. Please see attached page for information.

*We are not going to wear Halloween costumes on October 31^st.  However, on Friday October 26^th your child is welcome to wear their costume as long as it is appropriate for school. Please no scary masks or weapons.

First Grade News – October 12^th, 2012

Thank you for taking time to attend parent/teacher conferences! It is hard to believe we are now in the second nine weeks of school!

Next week your child will have an AR reading contract. Please read, sign and return the next day.
